Join Amnesty International for a powerful conversation about human rights—yours, mine, and ours all together. We believe everyone deserves the rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but many are under threat. That’s why we host Human Rights Talks: open, honest chats where people share stories, ideas, and different viewpoints. These aren’t debates—they’re about listening, understanding, and seeing human rights in a whole new way. Come be part of the conversation!

Language: English and Dutch
Based on the event’s theme of 'Community Action' we have chosen to center the talk around the following cases:
Case studies on criminalising support to refugees
Two Tunisian activists arrested for helping refugees https://www.amnesty.nl/forms/email-tunesie-djemali
Sherifa Riahi, jailed for helping refugees https://www.amnesty.nl/forms/email-tunesie-riahi
If possible, we would appreciate it if participants could read through the case beforehand to ensure a more engaging discussion!
